Fredell Rosen

Ms. Rosen began her career researching and developing programs to encourage high school aged women to explore careers in non-traditional fields of employment training. She expanded that work into the corporate sector, creating fair employment practices for a major energy company. She then crossed over into the operating area of this company and managed the federal certification of their natural gas pipeline expansions including the first pipeline from Alaska to the lower 48 states. In the mid-80’s Ms. Rosen began her consulting and corporate meeting planning firm

Now retired, Fredell is currently an active participant in Galveston’s civic community and has participated in leadership roles in several major fundraising efforts for Galveston charities. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Galveston Ronald McDonald House and has served two terms as President as well as other board positions. She is a member of the executive committee of the UTMB Development Board and has served on the UTMB School of Nursing Advisory Board. Since 2009, Ms. Rosen has been actively involved in the support of a coastal barrier to protect our region from storm sure. She is President of Bay Area Coastal Protection Alliance (BACPA) and has helped raise awareness and funding for research and education relating to the coastal barrier commonly known as the Ike Dike. Ms. Rosen is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis Missouri. She and her husband Lewis reside in Galveston
